Metropolitan Employment Agency Co. Limited (hereinafter referred to as "the Company", "we" or "Metcap") undertakes to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486 of the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) to protect the privacy of the personal data of clients, employers and applicants (hereinafter referred to as "you").

In order to provide you with professional employment matching and related agency services, our company may need to collect your personal information. The purposes of collection include, but are not limited to:

  • Process your employment applications or requests to hire domestic helpers;

  • Conduct domestic helper matching, interview arrangements, and background checks;

  • We handle visa applications for the Immigration Department, contract notarization for the Consulate, and related procedures for the Labor Department.

  • Provide after-sales follow-up services and related consultations;

  • Comply with the laws, regulations or codes of conduct of Hong Kong and relevant countries (such as the Philippines and Indonesia).

2. Types of data collected

The data we collect may include, but is not limited to:

  • Employer: Name, contact number, address, ID number, proof of income (required by the government), family member information, etc.

  • Domestic helper applicants: Name, passport information, work experience, medical examination report, skills assessment and photos/videos, etc.

3. Transfer of personal data

Where necessary, the Company may disclose or transfer the collected personal data to third parties, including:

  • Hong Kong Immigration Department, Labour Department and related government departments;

  • Consulates in Hong Kong of the Philippines, Indonesia, or other countries, and relevant local recruitment agencies;

  • Your chosen domestic helper insurance company or medical examination center;

  • Professional consultants or information technology service providers who assist the company in its operations.

4. Data Security and Retention

We employ stringent technical and management measures to ensure that your personal data is protected from unauthorized access, processing, or deletion. Your personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to accomplish the aforementioned purposes, unless otherwise required by law.

5. Direct Marketing

Unless you give your explicit consent, we will not use your personal information to promote our products or services (such as the latest domestic helper recommendations or promotional offers). You may notify us at any time by phone or email to stop receiving such information.

6. Data access and correction
